Austria’s national cake-A chocolate sponge cake with apricot filling, covered with a chocolate like ganache made from three chocolates.

There are many copy variations of this cake, however the true recipe is guarded at Hotel Sacher in Vienna.

This is just my family’s recipe- specifically my great great grandmother’s which has been passed down each generation.

Note- This cake requires 24 hours to allow for it to set overnight and soak apricot flavors
